Must have a minimum of at least 6 months to a year of experience in insurance verification.
Must be computer savvy; demonstrating proficiency in Google Chrome, Gmail, Microsoft, Soft-phones, CRM's and basic computer skills Experience with using online service provider service portals.
Have good data entry skills, great communication, and phone skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Possess effective time management skills Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge during the interview.
Duties and Responsibility Prioritize work and manage time effectively to meet set requirements made by director and manager.
knowledgeable about insurance coverage and different types of insurance policies.
Completes verification of benefits for potential and admitted patients.
Maintain a professional and caring dialogue with all Insurance Carriers.
Update and change demographic and insurance information if necessary.
Document outcome of all outbound and inbound calls from Insurance carriers Report errors to the manager for correction and required steps for correction.
Reports information back to the admissions team within agreed time frames.
Work with the Utilization Review department to accurately and timely upload any concurrent review documents they have been assigned.
Attends meetings as required and works closely with colleagues, sharing new information with regards to insurance companies.
Other duties in relation to insurance verification as requested by their department manager.
Qualifications High school diploma or GED Previous billing experience preferred Familiarity with medical terminology Work experience with insurance companies Clear communication skills Detail-oriented focus Job Type:
